Overview

Real Renewable Energy Biomass (Wood) heating systems burn Wood pellets, wood chip, logs or even waste wood. The systems can be highly automated, especially pellet and chip systems, and require little more work than an equivalent oil or gas heating systems. Biomass is a direct, sustainable and very cost effective alternative to oil or LPG and works well with traditional radiators, underfloor or blown air heating.

Wood Pellets
Wood Pellets are manufactured as a side product from the wood industry, they readily available and are distributed throughout the UK and Ireland. The supply of pellets is growing in line with the UK Governments Energy Policy and our inevitable change to a Low Carbon Economy. Pellets are compact and when stored in a hopper (tank) they can flow, this means a correctly designed and installed system is as easy as oil or LPG, and a simple to use alternative. To compliment our systems and provide a seamless service we have teamed up with Billington Biofuels who have invested in a bulk wood pellet distribution centre at Langwathby in Cumbria, from there they supply domestic and commercial customers throughout Northern England and Southern Scotland accommodating deliveries ranging from 10Kg bags(100 to a pallet) to 22 ton automated bulk blown deliveries. It really is as easy as oil or gas with the added bonus that wood pellets are cheaper, stable in supply and price and the systems are eligible for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Grant. Wood Chips
Wood Chips are available from local woodland, landowners or if you have woodland from chipping your own wood via a local contractor. Woodchip fuel is low in C02 emissions and generally cheaper than pellets per Kwh. It does however take up a more storage space and as such is generally more suitable for large domestic or commercial premises. Wood Logs
Logs in their most basic form have powered mans needs for heat for millions of years. Modern Log burning stoves and boilers are, highly efficient (up to 93%) and a low carbon way of heating homes or business premise. Fuel is widely available locally and harvesting provides local jobs in the fuel supply chain. Using Wood is sustainable, reliable, stable in price, cheaper to run and eligible for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Grant.
